1. Tinker Air Show

An annual highlight of the summer and a regional favorite, the award-winning Tinker Air Show is held in late June or early July. This free two-day event is open to the public and features performances by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Wings of Blue, WWII reenactments, and more, as well as plenty of food vendors, demonstrations, static ground displays, and exhibitions.

2. Rose State College

Keep those kid brains busy during their school hiatus with summer Kids College Summer Camps from Rose State College. These week-long camps draw more than 1,500 students every summer, and give kids in 1st-9th grade an introduction to everything from aerospace, meteorology, chemistry, 3D printing, and data science to drones, archery, esports, rock climbing, movie making, and more!

You can also check out the Rose State Performing Arts Center for great shows for both kids and adults held throughout the year in partnership with the Civic Center Music Hall and the Hudiburg Chevrolet Center.

3. John Conrad Regional Golf Course

One of Golf Digest’s four-star “Places to Play,” the recently renovated John Conrad Regional Golf Course continues its nearly 40-year legacy of providing Midwest City golfers with one of the best experiences in the state. 5. Reno Swim and Slide

Midwest City’s new million-dollar water park and swimming complex, Reno Swim and Slide is the place to be when you need to get wet. Whether it’s a zero-depth beach entry and separate playground for the littles, a variety of slides and an aqua climbing wall for the bigs, or fountains and splash pads for everyone, there’s something for everyone—including lounge chairs, pavilions, shade tents, and a concession stand.

6. Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park

Your four-legged family members deserve a little freedom, too, this summer, to take them over to the two-acre Fred Quinn Happy Tails Dog Park, where your pup can explore water features, rock formations, and grassy mounds. 7. Little Flyers Indoor Playground

On days when it’s just too hot to let the pint-sized ones run off their energy outside, head to Little Flyers Indoor Playground, where your kiddos can enjoy unlimited play on their state-of-the-art indoor equipment and toys for one low price. 9. Midwest City High School History Center & Vietnam Memorial

The history of Midwest City High School is front and center at 213 Elm St. The outdoor Bomber Plaza honors 22 Midwest City High School graduates who died during the Vietnam War, as well as alum who lost their lives during the Oklahoma City Bombing or while serving in WWII, the Korean War, or the Iraq War. Inside, the center is packed with memorabilia collected since the school’s founding in 1943, including band uniforms, photographs, and signed sports balls and jerseys.

10. Andy’s Altitude 1291

Named for Tinker Air Force Base’s elevation—1291 ft.—Andy’s Altitude 1291 provides plenty of elevated fun for kids of all ages, from bumper cars and laser tag to virtual reality, arcade games, laser tag, and a full bar and restaurant.
